ABOUT PAULA WISEMAN BOOKS
Paula Wiseman Books is an imprint of Simon & Schuster children’s publishing that includes picture books, novelty books and novels. The imprint launched in 2003 with the publication of Clorinda by Robert Kinerk and illustrated by Steven Kellogg and has since gone on to publish over 50 award-winning and best-selling books. The imprint focuses on stories and art that are wholly childlike, centered in emotion, innovative, and timeless for children of all ages.
The list publishes 20-30 books per year by many of the most beloved talents working in children's books today, including Robin Preiss Glasser, Matt Van Fleet, Elise Primavera, Marissa Moss, Diane Goode, Kate Feiffer, Stephen T. Johnson, Donna Jo Napoli, Kadir Nelson, Meghan McCarthy, and Judy Sierra. The backlist contains many favorite books and series including the Amelia series by Marissa Moss and NFL superstars, Tiki and Ronde Barber's football stories for middle grade readers.
We are committed to publishing new talent in both picture books and novels as well as books that while entertaining also expand the experience of children who read them and that will endure, including stories based in other cultures. We are interested in submissions from new and published authors and artists through agents and from SCBWI conferences.
